IVP (Intravenous Pyelogram)
An intravenous pyelogram (IVP) is an x-ray examination of the kidneys, ureters and urinary bladder that uses iodinated contrast material injected into veins.

Precautions*
Minimum 8 - 10 hours fasting is required (regular medication and plain water is allowed).

Note*
It is mandatory to have blood test levels for Serum Creatinine. Barium swallow X-ray examinations are used to study the pharynx and esophagus. Barium meal examinations are used to study the lower esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. Barium follow through examinations are used to study the small intestine. Barium enema examinations are used to study the large intestine and rectum.

What is HSG Test or Hysterosalpingography?
HSG Test or Hysterosalpingography, or uterosalpingography is a medical test performed by a trained professional expert to evaluate the condition of your uterus and fallopian tubes. A contrast medium is injected into your uterus, and an X-ray is taken to determine if the cavity is normal and ensure that the fluid spills out of your fallopian tubes

Why is Hysterosalpingography Test Performed?
With HSG test, your doctor will be able to confirm whether a woman’s fallopian tubes are open, and uterus has a normal shape or not. It also make sure the cavity is not affected by fibroids, polyps, or scar tissue. In simple words, Hysterosalpingography is a histological test used to diagnose the internal organs related to the female reproductive system. Through this test, the doctor can easily detect the various causes of infertility and other problems related to pregnancy.

What is an X-ray MCU+RGU Test? Retrograde urethrogram and micturating cystogram (RGU and MCU) are radiological examinations that inject a dye via the urethra to identify urethral narrowing’s and bladder shape abnormalities. Urodynamic testing is the next logical step to detect functional problems if these are normal. Cystoscopy is typically performed as the final investigation.
